Carbon Emissions Based Two-Warehouses Inventory Model under Preservation Technology

Abstract

A sustainable two-warehouse inventory model for perishable goods that includes learning effects and carbon emission into account is offered in this research. The demand rate is expected to rise exponentially over time, and the system consists of an owned warehouse and a rented warehouse with different holding costs. The suggested approach incorporates preservation expenses and carbon emission fees into the total cost function. Additionally, the learning effects are taken into thought to gradually lower ordering, holding, and deteriorating costs. Finding the best replenishment plan that minimises overall inventory costs within a certain planning horizon subject to zero ending inventory is the main key objective. Sensitivity analysis is used to assess the impact of key factors on the best course of action after a numerical demonstration of the model's applicability.
